imageData Group is pleased to announce that it has purchased two new presses for its Brighton site: a Xerox iGen 5 and a Xerox Versant 2100. This represent an investment of circa £400k and will increase capacity on-site by over 20%.
“Here at Brighton, we specialise in variable data printing, personalisation and secure printing for a huge range of documents and publications. I’m convinced our clients will be delighted with the improvements to turnaround times and quality that this new investment will deliver.” Stated Jason Vivian, imageData Group’s Operations Director at the Brighton site.
“The iGen 5 and the Versant 2100 replace two older iGen 3 presses. They will complement the site’s existing iGen 150 and two Nuvera 288 mono presses. The Versant 2100 is the ideal print workhorse and the iGen 5 is the most productive digital press available today.” Jason continued.
“The iGen 5 will deliver enhanced image quality, with its 2400 dots per inch resolution with multiple line screens for improved detail and overall image quality control. It uses matte dry ink which provides a high-quality look and excellent colour consistency. The new press is also around 35% faster than the iGen 3 that it is replacing, with a maximum speed of 150 A4 impressions per minute on coated, uncoated and textured stocks from 60gsm up to 350gsm.
“The improved speed and efficiency of the iGen 5 and the Versant 2100 will significantly improve our production capacity and enable us to continue to provide our clients with the very best in customer service from a speed, quality and flexibility perspective. Both of the new presses are now up and running.” Jason concluded.
