    Zoe Bell
    Account Manager

When did you start at imageData and what was your first role?

    June 2012, Administration Assistant

What training have you completed and what qualifications have you obtained whilst working for imageData?

On the job training, health & safety and FSC training.

What challenges have you faced whilst working for imageData and how did you overcome them?

When I first started I didn’t have any real experience of working in print or production. I have now built up my print knowledge and learned a lot in a short space of time.

My roles so far have been fast-paced and varied. I have found that everyone at imageData Group is really helpful and willing to take the time to explain things. There are a lot of really experienced people who work here and getting their advice and opinions has helped me learn a lot. Even now, if something comes up that I haven’t heard of before or if I’m really busy working on a large campaign there is always someone willing to help.

I recently moved to a new team and this has given me the opportunity to spend time face-to-face with customers and to work on large print campaigns. I’m really enjoying the new challenges and gaining valuable experience as I progress with my career in account management.

    Liam Branton
    Software Developer

When did you start at imageData and what was your first role?

    November 2011, Digital Print Assistant

What training have you completed and what qualifications have you obtained whilst working for imageData?

During my time at imageData Group I have received in-house training, covering digital print production and print press set up and maintenance. I have also completed many IT based training sessions covering reporting, auto-art working, web development and deployment, database management and system support.

What challenges have you faced whilst working for imageData and how did you overcome them?

Probably my biggest challenge was developing an automated ordering system that is seamlessly linked with the customer's purchase ordering system. This was particularly difficult because part of the development needed to utilise cXML (commerce eXtensible Markup Language) for the purchase order processing, which was new to the organisation. After research and discussions with colleagues I completed the development and it continues to run smoothly.

From when I started at imageData I feel that my career has moved in a positive direction. I became a trainee analyst programmer in February 2012, and was promoted to my current position of analyst programmer in January 2013. I see myself as a respected colleague and it feels as though my opinion is valued. Going forward, I believe that imageData offers a lot of opportunities to expand my skill set and that I can offer imageData a lot in return.

    Jason Vivian
    Managing Director, Brighton site

When did you start at imageData and what was your first role?

1991, My first role was a print finisher.

What training have you completed and what qualifications have you obtained whilst working for imageData?

Management Training, Leadership & Management, Motivational Leadership, Influencing & Communication and Xerox Training for iGen 3, iGen 150, Nuvera

What challenges have you faced whilst working for imageData and how did you overcome them?

My biggest challenge was the site relocation in November 2006. After three months of shop fitting we moved all plant machinery, work in progress and stock into the new site without any disruption to normal operations or customers. This meant we were up and running on the Monday morning. The move was completed with precision logistics and all the staff pulled together to ensure that it went smoothly.

I am driven to be the best at what I do. I enjoy working here and having the opportunity to develop my skills, take on interesting projects and work with professionals. At imageData I know I can grow and continue to take on new challenges.

    Claire Parker
    Senior Account Manager

When did you start at imageData and what was your first role?

    April 2007, Senior account executive

What training have you completed and what qualifications have you obtained whilst working for imageData?

On the job training – you learn something new every day!

What challenges have you faced whilst working for imageData and how did you overcome them?

Where to start! Firstly was the learning curve from going from account management in litho reprographics, to small format digital printing – learning about digital printing & applications - which are evolving all the time!

Also, due to the nature of digital print, turn-around can be very quick, sometimes same-day turn around, so managing the “show-stoppers” as well as regular work and admin, can be challenging. As long as we can keep communication open with the client, let them know how the work is progressing & managing their expectations, the client is happy.

I’m happy with the work I am doing at the moment, so working closer with clients & helping the business evolve.

    Nikki Pakes
    Senior Account Manager

When did you start at imageData and what was your first role?

    2005, Account executive

What training have you completed and what qualifications have you obtained whilst working for imageData?

The training I have completed has been internal/ departmental training.

What challenges have you faced whilst working for imageData and how did you overcome them?

I think we face challenges every day – whether it be being asked to print certain items we have not done before or just the daily challenges you face working for a busy print company. These are overcome by managing time and workload efficiently and by everyone working together as a team.

I have already progressed from an account executive to a senior account manager role. I would now like to help and oversee my team members to progress further within ImageData. This in turn will help me grow the accounts I manage which ultimately means I can develop my own role.
